GoHighLevel
We exited after the per-sub-account costs made client pricing impossible to quote, and the AU rate card was never supplied after two written requests.

How much does GoHighLevel actually cost per client?
The agency plan is not the number that matters. AI Employee is charged at $50–97 per month PER SUB-ACCOUNT, and each client is a sub-account. That is the figure that decides whether you can price a client profitably, and it is not the one on the pricing page.
Can you share regulatory or compliance bundles across clients?
No. Bundles are sub-account specific and cannot be shared. For an agency running many small clients this multiplies a fixed cost by headcount rather than amortising it.
Can you turn off auto-recharge?
No. Auto-recharge cannot be disabled. We asked. For a business that wants a hard ceiling on spend, that is a structural problem rather than a preference.
Is there an Australian rate card?
We asked twice, in writing, and never received one. We are not claiming none exists — we are recording that we could not obtain it as a paying agency customer.
Who should use it
- A business that wants ONE bill and no assembly, and is willing to pay a premium for that
- An agency with few, larger clients where a per-sub-account fee amortises properly
- Anyone who values a single vendor to call over control of the stack
Who should not
- An agency with many small clients — the per-sub-account model works against you at exactly the scale where margin is thinnest
- Anyone who needs a hard spending ceiling
- Anyone who needs to quote a client a fixed monthly price with confidence
What we did not check
Stated so you can weigh the verdict properly. A page that only lists what it knows is hiding its edges.
- Whether an AU rate card exists and we simply could not reach the right person
- Whether the per-sub-account pricing is negotiable at volume — we never got far enough to ask

We run it and rate it — and hosting client workflows on it requires a commercial agreement that the Sustainable Use Licence does not cover, confirmed to us in writing.

Excellent self-hosted for your own bookings, and the wrong choice for client bookings — API-key creation is an Enterprise feature on self-hosted, so the free cloud tier is the cheap answer.
